David Bate, M.D. has been the Medical Director of Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care, Inc. in Asheville, North Carolina, for nearly two decades. He is a Board-Certified Family Physician and a Charter Diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine. With three decades of interest and study in alternative healing systems, he brings a wide array of understanding to the healing encounter. Dr. Bate has had a holistic practice in Asheville for more than ten years. He is a Registered Polarity Therapy Practitioner, and brings to his work a particular interest in the energetics of illness and healing. From conventional medicine to complementary techniques and spiritual approaches, he utilizes whatever methods will help the individual client.
He sums up his approach in this way: “Our lives are journeys of spirit, mind, feelings and body, and healing takes place in each of those worlds. Each individual has his or her own path to walk on the way to wholeness. Our inner resources, and the opportunities which present themselves in the world, are our guides.”
